Universities and COVID-19: One year after. Perspectives from the United States and Australia.

Post-secondary institutions in Alberta and beyond faced extraordinary challenges this past year due to the global pandemic, budget insecurity and political dissent. The Peter Lougheed Leadership College has invited Dr. Persis Drell, Provost, Stanford University and Dr. Heather Zwicker, Executive Dean, Humanities and Social Sciences, The University of Queensland to share their insights and reflect on how their universities adapted to the public health crisis, how they are approaching the vaccine roll out, and their plans for the academic terms ahead. Comparing different perspectives on this shared experience will offer wisdom and insight as we move to the next phase of pandemic teaching and research.

This free public presentation is offered via Livestream on March 18, 2021, from 7-8:30 PM MDT.

RSVP on Eventbrite: https://www.eventbrite.ca/e/129643000705.
