All Day
Welcome back to the U of A!
U of A Days celebrates our alumni and their lasting impact on the University of Alberta community. Whether you’re a proud graduate, a current student, or someone with a connection to our institution, we invite you to reconnect and revel in the vibrant campus spirit.
This four-day event features a mix of alumni-focused activities and events open to the public, showcasing the best of the U of A’s academic and cultural achievements. From engaging presentations and campus tours to family-friendly activities and performances, there’s something for everyone. Consider reconnecting with your ALES network at one of our events:
- Friday, Sept. 20 at 3:30 p.m.: Human Ecology Repair Cafe
The Human Ecology Clothing Repair Café is a sustainable initiative that encourages repairing and reviving clothing for longer wear, reducing fashion’s carbon footprint. This special U of A Days event supported by the Jorgen’s fund will feature sewing demonstrations. All are welcome and skilled volunteers will be on hand to provide advice, tools and basic supplies. Learn new skills or bring your own clean items to be mended. Do you have some old Green & Gold that has seen better days? Repair it and wear it for many more U of A Days!
- Saturday, Sept. 21 at 3:30 p.m.: ALES Breakfast with the Dean
What was your “spark moment”, or turning point in your life and career? At our annual ALES breakfast, a panel of current students, alumni, industry partners and faculty members will showcase how experiential learning in communities, labs and the outdoors impacted their lives. Alumni of all ALES disciplines will be entertained by stories of these valuable learning experiences, including some surprising spark moments. Attendees will also get to meet the incoming dean of the Faculty of Agricultural, Life & Environmental Sciences, Rickey Yada! Join us to reconnect with your U of A friends and colleagues or make new connections as we celebrate our alumni and the future with our new dean. Includes a hot breakfast buffet.
